Hi, I’m Susan
I’m the person behind the questions — the ones about why we think the way we think, feel the way we feel, and react the way we react, even when we wish we wouldn’t. Honestly? I’ve been asking myself these things long before I ever wrote them down.
I’m a certified associate psychologist, accredited by the Kenya Counseling and Psychological Association. But if you strip away the title, what’s left is someone who’s endlessly curious about the human mind. My own included.
This blog is my personal space to think out loud. It’s where I process what I’m learning through study, through practice, and through the ordinary, unglamorous work of being human. I write because putting words to something makes it easier to understand, and I figure I’m not the only one who feels that way.
My hope is that what I share here helps you:
- Make sense of complex psychological ideas in plain, everyday language
- Build awareness around mental health topics that actually matter
- Challenge the stigma that still keeps too many people quiet
- Feel a little less alone in the work of growing and healing
Beyond the blog, I also work directly with people through personal and group therapy, as well as corporate team-building sessions — because sometimes the conversation needs to go deeper than a page can hold. If that’s something you’re curious about, you can book a session or reach out through my website, mindunmuted.org.
Whether you found this page out of curiosity, because you’re navigating something personal, or because you’re just trying to understand yourself a bit better, you’re welcome here.
I also explore these ideas out loud on the Mind Unmuted podcast, for anyone who wants to go a little deeper.
Here’s what I know for certain: I don’t have it all figured out. None of us do. That’s not a flaw, that’s the whole point.
So let’s figure it out together. 💙
